Funabashi's sports hub, with an athletics ground, baseball field, tennis courts, and gymnasium.

 Enjoy a wide range of sports at this comprehensive sports park. This is not only a sports facility, but also has courses for walking and running, as well as a playground for children, so anyone can come to enjoy some casual exercise. The gymnasium also has a training room.

 Full-scale athletics grounds. Track and field teams from many schools including Funabashi Municipal High School come to practice on these grounds, and they are joined by a number of local residents who practice individually.

 A baseball field that has been a venue for official games of the Pro Baseball Eastern League! Of course it is also available for sandlot baseball!

You can enjoy all types of sports at the sports park, but the most popular facility is the pool that only opens in summer. It has all sorts of features like a looping water slide that are great fun for kids and adults!

Hotaru no Sato artificial firefly rearing facility

At the Hotaru no Sato artificial firefly rearing facility built by the city in a corner of the Sports Park, a viewing event is held for about a week every June during which you can see about 1,000 fireflies.

Directions

From Funabashi Station North Gate No. 3, 5, 6, or 7 Bus Stands, ride a Funabashi Shin-Keisei Bus (except for buses bound for "Toyotomi Nokyo-mae", "Iryo Center Keiyu", and late night buses), get off at "Shiritsu Taiikukan" and walk 5 minutes.
From Misaki Station, ride the Funabashi Shin-Keisei Bus bound for "Funabashi-eki Kitaguchi", get off at "Shiritsu Taiikukan" and walk 5 minutes.
