A famous temple with the gate suspending an oversized red lantern called Kaminarimon Gate (Furaijinmon Gate).While most of the temple structures were reconstructed after fires and the previous war, the temple itself is the oldest one in Tokyo founded in 628."Hokkekyo," the Buddhist scriptures authored more than 900 years ago (a national treasure now stored in the Tokyo National Museum) and a National Important Cultural Property "Nitenmon Gate" denote its long history.
